NAFCC 18th Annual Conference Family Child Care: Challenge for Excellence
July 17 - 19, 2008

More than 1,500 family child care providers and other early childhood specialists will gather in Schaumburg , IL this summer to work towards improving the quality of care and education for young children. The 2008 National Association for Family Child Care is being hosted by Illinois Association for Family Child Care and will be held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center from July 17 - 19, 2008.

Participants will be able to choose from over 100 seminars and workshops on topics including child development, quality improvement, program accreditation, small business planning, and early childhood curriculum.

The keynote speakers will be Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary and Kathy Buckley, Comedienne and Motivational Speaker. Presenters include Tom Copeland, Director of Redleaf National Institute, Patricia Dischler, Author and Accredited Family Child Care Provider, Kathy Goetz Wolf, Project Director for Strengthening Families Illinois, Teri Talan, Director of Research and Public Policy at The McCormick Tribune Center for Early Childhood Leadership at National Louis University , and Maria Whelan, President/CEO of Illinois Action for Children.

National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) has a membership of over 8,000 child care professionals and is dedicated to strengthening the profession of family child care by promoting high quality, professional early care and education and strengthening communities where providers live and work.
